Midnight Monkey, AQHA 4576067, was foaled April 26, 2004. "Sparky" is a very handsome, correct and straight 5-year-old JET BLACK gelding with excellent breeding. His bloodlines contain many outstanding cutting, reining and working cow horses and Sparky shows this breeding in his good conformation and quick, athletic moves. Sparky has a nice disposition and enjoys being around people, so is easy to catch and mannerly on the ground. He is good with his feet, clips, bathes and loads and hauls nicely. Sparky spent the 2007-2008 school year at Linn-Benton College in Oregon, going through their colt-starting program. He can lope good circles, knows his leads, does haunch and fore-hand turns, and backs well. Sparky was recently (October 12) brought in from the field after standing around for almost three months; was saddled up, mounted, ridden in the round pen for a few minutes by an adult and then the 8-year-old granddaughter rode him around for a while and he did just fine. Her has also been out on a couple of trail rides and rode quietly in the front, middle or the end of the group. Sparky has smooth gaits and lots of potential to go into any of the western disciplines such as reining, working cow horse, team sorting or penning or even roping. All Sparky needs is to be finished in whatever direction his new owner chooses to go with him. Sparky is sound, current on all shots and lives in the Roseburg area in Oregon
