Ralph Casey and his dog Blue, travelled from Georgia to Washington, DC, on a “searching for answers” campaign from April 30 – June 22, 2011. That was 55 days and over 1100 miles. They travelled on two lane roads and four lane highways all the way, through some of the heaviest traffic on the east coast of the United States.
These ponies never wavered through all the traffic and noise and constant visitors the entire time. They are gentle, easy keepers, strong hooves and easy to shoe. There are only 700 or so Exmoors known today. They originated from the British Isles. In the war times, they were eaten almost to extinction. The wagon was made in Canada. Casey modified it to include the wanes and cover that can be removed easily. The wagon will fit inside four horse trailer just fine.
Many of the fine people he met along his way were interested in purchasing the set after the trip. The wagon and the ponies are in good condition here in Georgia and can be viewed by appointment by calling Ralph Casey at (706)397-8909.
