WITHOUT inside leg seams. One avid rider wasn’t giving up and persuaded us to custom sew jeans using our durable stretch denim and Smooth Stride comfort cut. She loved them (you can read her comments below). And since so many riders have requested a jean style just like this, we are introducing Smooth Stride Just Jeans.

Well, I tried out my new riding jeans this past weekend and WOW! A few comments:
The riding jeans weren’t hot. Saturday was a really humid and hot day (almost 90% humidity and 90 degrees) and I didn’t go out riding until just after mid-day, so despite it being very warm, the cotton / poly / spand in the jeans didn’t make them hot and unbearable.
After I’d come in from riding on Sunday (it was cooler that day, plus I rode earlier), my husband asked me to go out to get some lunch, “as is.” He said that these pants looked great and that he wouldn’t be embarrassed to be with me out in public with me wearing them. That’s huge! With all my other riding pants, he typically jokes about me getting changed so that we can go out to buy me a pair of pants that look decent.
I love how the back is a bit higher and lots of belt loops. I always attach a small wallet with my insurance card, emergency info, etc., to my belt loop, and it stays on really well without sagging down.
Although these riding jeans look “typical” at first, the cut and fit is wonderful. I didn’t notice being poked or prodded anywhere while I was riding; in fact, after I got off, I realized that I hadn’t had to pull or realign my riding pants at all after getting in the saddle. The denim is stretchy enough that after riding, I trimmed hooves (I do my own trims) without feeling constricted. That means bending and stretching every which way.
So, to make a long story short, I love these riding jeans. The cut and fit are absolutely perfect.
